St.Albans…18th May 2014

Well I have just had a read of my past blog….I am now five months in St. Albans…in many ways still finding my way….it is indeed a place of pilgrimage…I have found a new space to live….and ideally placed…right opposite my place of work….the Church….am getting to know new people…which as we all know is part of life….I have a lot to be thankful for….

I often think of the ship….and what an adventure it was…again…thankful that all went well.

Also….the many many people and events of the last nine years in Tzaneen South Africa….always close to my heart.

Waiting to move....3rd december

it is the middle of the night, or better still...early morning...we are still in port...looks like fog...all part of the journey...and all part of been out of my comfort zone...as i have no control over this delay....so i have to go with it...at least i have my modem...so able to share this news...so far...maybe when we head to the high seas, i wont be able to tell you about the long days and nights....so for your info....we are when we get going , heading for the tip of spain...followed by rotterdam...then it will be london....so two stops along the way....we are the only passengers....a crew of 24...various nationalities...have not learnt all the names yet....as they have been working all day (yesterday)....watching the containers load has been interesting...and...yes now our view has been blocked...but look maybe that is not a bad thing...as when we do get going....we won't see the waves...anyway that is all ahead of us....captain did let it out of the bag, that when we cross the equator....they are planning a party....will take the photos...it has something to do with Neptune...now...i think that is all for now...as I am also trying to save my battery life...as well...the one thing I forgot to sort ....international adaptors...but the captain knows , as does the chief engineer, and our steward...so i think the electrician will sort for me...like...if they can load 4000 containers...surly they will sort an adaptor...oh by the way, we are not the first religious to travel on this boat....
